Paper Circuits
this week we explored basic concepts of creating circuits using accessible materials in the lab.
i built a rectangular circuit and connected it with a lightbulb. i noticed that the lightbulb is pink (or redish) when the switch is on.
i clipped a piece of battery on the right top corner of the card and cut off the circuit to stop the electricity flow. then by adding an additional piece of copper tape on the left side of the card, the circuit would be complete again and electricity will flow properly when the card closes.
i cut through the card in the middle and glued a piece of white paper inside so that light can pass through. the pinkish light of the lightbulb reminded me of a strawberry, so i incorporated the shape of a strawberry on the card front.
although i wanted to include some sort of pop up design within the card, i was running out of space (my card is tiny), plus the paper crane doesn't fit well :(
(maybe next time)
the finished look.
